Who Are We?
Meet the Christenburys, a group of generational sons with the sole goal to continue their father's legacy in collecting antique Caterpillar tractors. Started in the early 1900s, Eli and Silas Christenbury strive to continue their father's legacy as the 5th generation of collectors. But, it had to start somewhere, right? Who is behind this generational legacy?
Edward Walker Christenbury (1877-1954) and his son Silas Woodly Christenbury (1905-2003) went in together and bought their first Caterpillar tractor, a brand new CAT D2 and a No. 22 terracer in 1940. This crawler was used around the farm for years to cut terraces into the farmland. Later in 1956, Edward and Silas bought a CAT D4 to help them with logging and clearing for new farmland. These were their first two CAT crawlers, and the love for CAT grew from there. Little did they know, this was the first of an ever-growing collection and love for CAT machines.
