While Holt prodcued a wide variety of machines, a large portion of their sales was to the military on their 'Ton' series, which consisted of the 2 ton, the 5 ton, the more common 10 ton, and the less common 2 1/2 ton. The Holt T-35 and the Holt 2 Ton are the same model of tractor, however the name convention is based on their assembly location. T-35's were manufactured in Stockton, CA, USA, while the Holt 2 Ton's were manufactured in Peoria, IL, USA. Much like the CAT L20 (San Leandro) and the 8C20 & PL20 (Peoria, IL) gas tractors, where all three types are of the same tractor model, just different assembly locations/modifications, the same applied for the T-35 and the 2 Ton.
