The Caterpillar Twenty-Two offered two distinct series, the 1J and 2F, and tractor offered farmers 25 horsepower at the drawbar in a small compact frame. An all-yellow tractor, 15154 total were manufactured. They proved highly popular in the orchard and small-produce sectors, with 40" and 50" gauge compatibility (center-to-center distance of each track frame). Featuring a 22 gallon fuel tank, two seperate fuel chambers menat that it was possible to start the tractor on gas and switch to kerosine, or vice versa. The Twenty-Two replaces the hand clutch with a foot clutch, moving the brake pedals used for steering entirely to the right side.
